March 18: Distance Learning Schedule
Thank you for sending in your discussion posts and reflections on Friedrich— we appreciate you working on them!!
This unit focused on the problem of antisemitism and how we as future educators can gain knowledge on the topic to work with our future students in the classroom. You’ve learned about the Holocaust, antisemitism in classic literature, and, hopefully, a bit about Jewish culture! Now, for your final assignment, due next Monday, please create your own unit on teaching against antisemitism in your future classroom. Units should be approximately five days long and should include at least one piece of media from our cultural exposure day (both music and visual art can be found on the resources page).
Think outside the box! Go beyond the Holocaust! Delve into it! What interests you? What could potentially interest students? What’s key to understanding the issues?
Please let any of us know if you have questions concerning the project!!
